BABA YAGA
Odiseja · A Journey into Ecstasy
The band
Five musicians.
A room full of life.
Virtuosic strings, the breath of an accordion, voices and percussion. Music that draws you close — and then gets the whole room moving.
Vienna-based Baba Yaga bring Balkan music, Klezmer and Gypsy Swing together with original compositions. Violin, accordion, double bass, mandolin, guitar, percussion and voices carry music that moves between intimacy and exhilaration. Five musicians with different musical backgrounds share a love of virtuosity, storytelling and the sheer pleasure of playing together.
From Rudolstadt and Bardentreffen Nürnberg to Vienna’s Konzerthaus, Festival du Bout du Monde and the Dolomites, the band has brought that energy to festival stages and concert halls across Europe.
