A voice
that stays
with you.
Gospel’s emotional force.
Soul’s warmth.
The intimacy of a personal story.
Meet Izo FitzRoy
From the choir
to a voice of her own.
British singer and songwriter Izo FitzRoy began as a choir director. That grounding in gospel still shapes the depth and emotional intensity of her music.
Her recording career took shape in New Orleans, where she wrote and recorded much of her debut album, Skyline. How the Mighty Fall followed in 2020, while 2023’s A Good Woman, produced by Oscar de Jong, brought gospel, soul, jazz and folk into an increasingly personal sound.
Touring has been central to that journey. With her band, FitzRoy has built a following across Europe, moving between the closeness of a song and the collective energy of a live room.

A live reputation,
built one room at a time.
A performance on Later… with Jools Holland in 2023 was followed by SXSW in 2024 and sold-out headline shows at Union Chapel and Ronnie Scott’s.
Along the way, her recordings have found support from BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music, Jazz FM, NPR, FIP and KCRW. Her collaboration with Dimitri from Paris, I Want Magic, also introduced her voice to club audiences.
