Mali meets Cuba — live on stage

Two musical worlds.
One shared adventure.

Mali’s guitar phenomenon Vieux Farka Touré and Cuban piano virtuoso Roberto Fonseca join forces for a new collaborative album and an international live project.

Desert blues, jazz and Afro-Cuban traditions meet in a dialogue between two unmistakable musical voices. In 2027, a six-piece band brings that conversation from the studio to European stages.

Across the Atlantic

A meeting in the
middle of the ocean.

The musical connection between West Africa and Cuba reaches across centuries. Rhythms and traditions crossed the Atlantic, took new forms and travelled back again.

Touré carries the musical heritage of his father, Ali Farka Touré, into a world of his own. Fonseca, who emerged internationally alongside musicians of the Buena Vista Social Club, connects Afro-Cuban tradition with jazz, funk and contemporary music.

Together, they make that long conversation immediate, personal and new.
