Meet Yasmine Azaiez
A violin with more than one language.
Tunisian-Indian violinist, singer and composer Yasmine Azaiez moves between North African music, jazz, improvisation and electronic production. Her training at the Yehudi Menuhin School and New England Conservatory forms the foundation for a highly individual musical language.
From concert halls to festival stages, her performances give the violin a central, expressive role alongside the voice. Her work brings acoustic detail and physical rhythm together, with room for both intensity and restraint.

Shiva’s Shoes
Six tracks bring her Indian heritage into conversation with North African jazz. Violin, voice and insistent rhythms give the record its shape: intimate in detail, expansive in feeling.
Produced by Ashish Manchanda and recorded almost entirely in single takes, the album keeps the immediacy of musicians responding to one another. Repetition becomes movement; a melodic phrase opens into a shared groove.
